What I was afraid would happen is beginning to happen. The roller on my 8100 is beginning to give me problems. Is there an easy fix to resolve this issue or will I need to exchange my unit? I'm sure taking this baby apart is all that is needed. I hope.

What does "give you problems" mean? Usually a little dirt gets on the rollers underneath the ball. Use a little alcohol and a cotton swab. don't saturate it, just clean it.

Agreed. I would just take it apart and clean it really good. Then soft reset it. Shouldn't have to take it up to Cingular. Maybe you need to readjust your sensitivity level again.
