Default Multiple BES Accounts, One BB

Please Login to Remove!

I've read this can be done. There are a couple of threads I found over at PDA Street that say that as long as you have 2 servers, and you change the service name from "Desktop" to something else, you can have 2 or more BES accounts go to your BB. Has anyone here done this? I have two servers and both are up and running. I did EA on the second account and got an error that the IT Policy is rejected and EA was cancelled. How have people done this? Here is one of the threads I found: Multiple Exchange accounts on BB - PDA street forums

Is there some setting I'm not aware of that can make EA not cancel if the IT Policy is rejected? When I switched servers at one time and did EA on the new one, the IT Policy did not apply properly then either but EA continued. I think it was because I used the same SRP. People have done this and I want to do it too! Any suggestions?

Thanks!

That thread was from 2004. back in the days of no OTA. I have doubts that you could get it to work well in a 4.0-4.1 environment. You would have mass PIM chaos since all of that is usually managed through the server and not through desktop manager anymore. I could be wrong and I will test it to see if I can do it....

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; Google Wireless Transcoder;))

What if I disabled everything but message reconciliation on the second BES? The main problem seems to be the IT policy now.
