Default Why doesn't MSN Messenger Drain Blackberry battery?

Please Login to Remove!

hi everyone, 1 simple question, I am wondering why every other IM I've installed to use MSN on my BB since it wasn't supported by my carrier, the battery drained, now with the official one, you can leave it only literally 24/7 and it wont drain your battery. In fact, I've noticed the phone doesn't even send/rec, it does so literally only when someone sends you the message. I've also noticed the contact list is always updated, yet the battery doesn't drain????? thx
