Ok, I just upgraded from the 8830 to the more fun 8330.

So I've been messing with all these new features, and it might be because I'm not use to it yet but I started using the video recorder and I can't seem to close it when I hit the menu key and chose close nothing happens and it remains active in the application switcher is this normal?

Number rule of BlackBerry when something goes wrong, pull the battery... I did a software (Cap+Shift+Del) and now it lets me close and open the video camera, is this common with the Curve?

Not common with my curve, but battery pull is the best place to start for anything that seems odd like this.

Ok, I got another quick question how do I save a video receording?

I looked threw the help section and saw something tells me the memory available for recording videos and when I look to see it states 0 kb, I am saving the video recordings to a Media Card which has 150+ MB free so it should save to the media card right?

When I do a video and click the trackball to end recording, it automatically saves the video to the media card. Maybe it thinks your card doesn't have enough space left, not sure.

I suppose I could clear some space, I got a 4 GB card in there and only 150 MB free, maybe I'll try deleting everything and give it a shot afterwards. hhhmm

Also make sure encryption is not on. I had mine turned on and video recording just would not work for some reason.

Ok, I emptied my Media Card so I had 3.7 GB free did a battery pull and started video recording still no go.

GXX, I am for some reason paranoid about stuff and I did have my Media Card encrypted (using Device encryption) and I was encrypting my Media files. I turned off Media Card encryption completely and my video recorder started working!!

I turned the Media Card encryption back on (Device encryption) and tried it again video recording still worked. I then went back said yes to "Encrypt Media Files" and then my video recorder stopped working :( . So encrypting media files is a no go with the video recorder.

Thanks for the heads up GXX.

(Wonder if it's ment to be that way or a bug in 4.3? Worth an entry in the BBFAQ, Troubleshooting Video Recroder?)

If you have an SD Card in your Blackberry the folder structure will be as follows:

BlackBerry
-voicenotes
-music
-pictures
-ringtones
-videos

What is it you are trying to do?
