Talking Attachment Viewer

Please Login to Remove!

Do I need an attachment viewer to see attachments? I know it says in the book that you just put your cursor over the attachment and click the wheel to view it but there is no option to view it when I click in the trackwheel. Does that mean that it's a service not supported by my company or that I need something additional in order to do it?

Not all attachments are supported. Basically MS Work, Excel and Adobe pdf are supported. Are you using a corporate BES server? If so, the admin may have this option turned off.

I'm using the Redirector, not a Blackberry Enterprise Server. But I'm guessing that maybe it's related to my IT systems dept then. Thanks for the help!

I was having this same problem here is what you have to do.

THe redirector Will not allow you to open attachments. (stupid I Know)

Go to: http://www.discoverblackberry.com/pe...internet.shtml

at the bottom of the page select your carrier ie verizion cingular etc.

Select New Account

On your BB go to Options, Status to get your Pin and ESN number

Set up a blackberry account.

ask your IT person (or create the filters yourself) to have your mail forwarded to the account you have created with blackberry.

Now you will get your attachments. Oh and delete the redirector once this is done otherwise you will get duplicate messages.

Hope this helps!

And if they do that (forwarding attachments to the clear Internet) then they should be fired immediately.
