I think a purchase by FB would be great, would really help with the younger generation that is all flocking towards iphones..it will be interesting to see what happens, I hope (as a Canadian) that RIM can somehow beat the odds and make a resurgence!

In addition, Mark Zuckerburg said after the Instagram purchase that they don't plan to, if ever, make a purchase like that again.

Exactly. If anyone buys RIM, I would bet my bottom dollar that it will be a hardware manufacturer looking to acquire the software and patents.

I agree. Can't see Facebook at all in this mix. Maybe Microsoft or Amazon or Samsung perhaps. Not Facebook.
