Does anyone have any recommendations on which of these models would have a better screen and system than the 7290? I am looking at the 7130, the Pearl or the 8700.

If those are your choices I say the 8700g. I believe it will have the biggest screen size. I love my 8700g!

You got a 7290 as a new phone? Eep.

Can't go wrong with the 8700 series; built like a rock and stable/quick.

Default 7290 was a refurb; like Nokia e62 but it crashes

I got the 7290 as a refurb from AT&T/Cingular. I meant to order the 7130 or the 8700. (AT&T does not carry the 8700g, only the 8700c, I think.) My Nokia e62 is great but it crashes to the menu a lot. Sometimes the only way to power it off is removing the battery.

(I hardly have that many applications installed.)

My wife and I took one look at the 7290 and sent it back. ... I need something that at least runs on the EDGE network.

Thanks!

The 8700c is a signifigant upgrade to the 7290. The 8800 is even better than the 8700 in my OPINION.

What do you mean by "better system"??

I'd also recommend the 8800 if you're purchasing one now.
