Default Disappearing Enterprise Activation...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I have a 8703e, the company has a BES. I'm having trouble activating on the BES. If I wipe the handheld the "Enterprise Activation" icon appears on the main screen and in Advanced Options. The antenna is off at this point - as soon as I turn the antenna on "Enterprise Activation" disappears completely, nowhere to be found.

If I jump right into "Enterprise Activation" from the main screen right after a wipe I can enter the user's credentials and choose to activate and then the antenna gets turned on and the activation just hangs. "Activating..."

The carrier account has the correct services, this unit did - momentarily - have the data connection but it stopped.

Why is "Enterprise Activation" vanishing?

Sounds like you have a BIS data plan on your device. Need to have the BES data plan in order to add the device to a BES.

No luck, my provider (Telus) assures me the account has the right data package.

Rebooted the handheld and removed/added the user back to the BES.
"Enterprise Activation" disappears as soon as the antenna is turned on.

If you don't see it under Options / Advanced Options, call your provider back and make them check again..... I've had CSR's tell me I had the right plan on a device, only to call back and have the next person tell me I had the wrong plan.

Called the provider and had them transfer the service to a spare 7250 I have. This one activated fine. I think I got a bad 8703... :P

I think I have a bad batch of Telus 8703e's as well. I know this thread is dead, but I've been experiencing at least 3 Telus models that are doing this...

I'm not having this issue and it's driving me crazy. I can't get a users phone to activate. Just hangs at activation..
