Hi,

I am new to the forum. My pearly has been running really strangely for the past couple of months. Every time i try to do something on it i.e. writing sms or browsing internet the hour glass is spinning and taking forever to follow any of the functions.

Now im getting apps errors 200 and 523. I've read that I probably need to wipe the device and reinstall the OS but the problem is I have a lot of numbers stored in it that i need to get out of it before I do the re-install. Is there anyway to do this please?

Also i need install the blackberry software on my laptop in order to do the OS upgrade. What is involved in this?

Sorry if some of these questions sound remedial.

Nothing too hard about installing Desktop Manager. Just throw the CD in and go. This is an important step as it will back up your device making wipes and OS reinstalls safer for you.
