Default unable to pair with husband's phone

I have a new pearl 8100 and my husband has a new Samsung Katalyst. Both phones have bluetooth enabled, set to discoverable, and neither phone can find each other. Any help?

if what i am reading is correct...try only having one phone set to discoverable and the other should be be searching for it.
