Hey all.... I'm Karren... An engineer and a longtime BB user... 7280... 7290 and now a new 8700c... I love them... Went through like five 7290's.... All repurposed from our comm department... But they finally ran out and I dreaded upgrading to a Curve or a Pearle since I love the 7290's qwerty keypad........ fat fingers and nails... . And I stumbled upon the 8700c which was a special order for friggin $49!! Which made my boss very happy!!

So that why I'm here... To figure out how to optimize this puppy!! I'm also a super moderator on a makeup forum (MakeUpTalk) and I do 95% of my moderating and posting on my Blackberry!! Girl on the go thingy.. Lol. I also do a lot of IMing on yahoo and MSN on this... Or try to at least... Off and there's business...

But I'm super happy to be here!!!

Welcome! I had an 8700c also for my last job and I liked it for the most part, but my Pearl couldn't be beat.

Thanks all!!! Your too sweet!! I love my 8700c.. Kind of like a new 7290!! Which I addored... I tried a Curve and a Pearl and hated the trackball.. And the keys... The hazard of long finger nails!! I'm surprised I can comunicate at all!! Lol

Welcome! The 8700 series devices are rock solid devices and can take a beating better (IMO) than some of the newer devices.

Glad to have you here.

I don't know how many times if flipped my old 7290 out of my purse onto the floor.... and it kept on running.... if the 8700c is half that durable.....
