Question Active Email address changes - Emails not delivered to device

Please Login to Remove!

I have a small test environment setup in the office:
BES 4.1.5.24
Exchange 2007
2 BB devices
All servers are VMs.

The Exchange server is setup on the domain: internal.companyname.net, and emails come in via companyname.com. I have it configured in Exchange to use the [email address] address for reply-to, etc

Every few days, I stop getting email on my BB, I log into the BES and the email address listed for my user is: [email address], instead of [email address]

I go to Server Configuration --> Service Controls & Customization --> Restart BlackBerry Enterprise Server, and as soon as the services have been reset, my BB begins receiving messages and my email address is listed normally.

I have a script restarting all services each night at midnight, but the problem still happens far too frequently.

Help?

If exchange is in a test environment and no users are in the sub domain, remove the exchange server from the sub domain and place it in the root.


It will save you from many headaches in the future and not just with BES.

that's not an option for now
1) we don't have an active root domain in the office (we use hosted exchange for primary email)
2) the sub-domain is my development sandbox for a number of systems, not just the BES

Is this a known issue w/ BES and subdomains?
