Run a diagnostic report
In the device options, click Status.
Press the Menu key.
Click Diagnostic.
Press the Menu key.
Click Run.


thats straight from the user guide of the 8100...
try it out its really cool!!

My phone is through T mobile, and it says that Cingular is the network I am on

That happens all the time. Most providers share towers and networks. Don't worry you won't get charged more or anything like that. Its all cool!!

I suppose you folks are seeing something interesting in this menu but mine just displays * Empty * (running Rogers .51 O/S)

You are not running it right.

When it says "empty" click the menu key.

You will then see "run"

click that.

That's pretty cool! I had no idea. Thanks for sharing that. Have you tried the voice command "Check Status?" I like that too but not as much information.

when I ran it I got an email saying I registerd on the bb network and my enterprise activation icon unhid itself. is that normal? just odd.

Yeah, after I ran it, 'Enterprise Activation' showed up on my home screen. I had to 'Hide Applicatrion'.

it totely checks everything on your blackberry network it sends you a PIN message pings your IP and a few other things so yes all of that is normal

hmm.... i got a lot of "no's" and "unknowns" Although I do not have the data plan... so I see why I got unknown and no's in the top section where it says radio data. But why does it say :
blackberry registration: no
connected to blackberry: no
blackberry pin-pin: no ???

Because your BB does not have a data plan to connect to the network through.

I really don't undestand what this does but it showed all the information you guys posted. Then, it shut down on me and sent me a few ping emailsthat said recieved ping or something like that. Is this a problem? or is that what happened to everyone?
