hey guys,
i just updated my bbm to 6.1 and now i seem to have lost the feature to compose bbm messages from my messages inbox. usually the mini-menu would come up -> compose -> bbm would take me to the bbm application but now it's no longer there. can anyone help me get it back please? im on a bold 9900 OS 7.0.0.585.

Did you check under 'Compose Other'? Should include BBM, Compose PIN, and IMs.

I don't get any "other" option all that shows up is email, text message, pin, instant message, social feeds post. I tried instant message and social feed post but bbm isn't in either of those. I hoped that 7,1 would have solved the problem so I used the leaked software you posted up but it didn't fix the issue ):

problem solved: i updated app world, uninstalled yahoo messenger, uninstalled bbm music, uninstalled blackberry protect and did a reboot. it started to work again. i don't understand why it worked but it did. i rebooted it several times in the past and did a hard reset by pulling the battery out but it didn't work until i now. btw i am now running 7.1 but i don't think that had any effect.

Nope - I have it (6.1.0.49) and I can, by hitting "C" from the home screen and then Menu/BBM contact, but it only works if you highlight a contact that IS ON YOUR BBM list...just as it should. You must be doing something different...because it works for me on my Bell and T-Mobile 9900's. I don't however use the "Compose" icon...I use the "C" shortcut.
