Please tell me there is a thread on how to add buddies to BB messenger on a 8830, I think I have successfully only added one buddy, the rest either hang in pending or disappear altogeher.

BBMessenger is for BB to BB only. When you add contacts be sure to add using PIN. Click on "Add Contact." Then when your contact list comes up highlight (do not click on) the contact to be added. Then hit the "menu" key. Select "PIN".

Make sure you have your buddy's pin in your contact list. PIN works better than email, for me anyway.
