I closed all of the applications and I've tried taking the battery out and nothing seems to work. Help?

That should be fine. Did you pull the battery out while the phone was on? It needs to be on to clear everything out.

If you press ALT + Escape and keep holding escape are there more that 5 applications running?

What are the 6? Home Screen, Call log, Messages, BB Messenger, Browser and ???? Did you install any applications recently? If not, it may require that you backup the device and re-load the OS. I know that it sounds drastic but we have step by step instructions and it's not that bad.

Wait do you have a Media Card in the device and is the camera pointed to it? Do you have free space on it? Is it functioning?

the sixth one is media.
And no I haven't installed any new applications.
Yeah, I have a media card, but I had taken it out to see if that was the problem and it still didn't work.

yea, this problem seems to hit a few blackberries. My back up curve also experienced this. I did a hard reset multiple times and reloaded the OS but the results were the same, it gave me the same message. Im starting to think the only way to fix it is to send it in which kinda sucks cause i dont have warranty.
