Default Hello.. question for the intellectuals here

Please Login to Remove!

Part 1:
what are the major differences between 8320 and 8330
i know they have different cariers, i know they run different systems... what about hardware though?
like camera
speed
etc.
Part 2:
i just got the verizon curve, and i cant be without it... im going out of the country for 2 months maybe more...
i just learned that if i had wifi on my curve that i would be able to make free calls as long as i was connected to a network... so lets say i got my hands on an unlocked 8320 and brought it with me, would it work there

now to me it seems obvious that the 8320 is a million times better than the 8330 because of this capability, so am i wrong/ are there things that the 8330 has that the 8320 doesnt have?

and finally if yes, is it worth sending back my 8330 and canceling verizon and moving to tmobile for this phone?

thanks for your patience

Wouldn't talking through the internet work with any phone that has wifi?
Does the internet quality need to be good?

Well, a 8320 is WIFI only and is a GSM phone and runs the 4.2 OS build. (capable of running 4.5 but thats another story and it hasn't been released yet)
A 8330 is WIFI and GPS and is a CDMA version. Also the 8330 comes with the 4.3 build OS which enables a few extra features. Video recording, supports a larger SD card etc.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but i do not believe the 8320 will work on Verizon seeing its a CDMA network.

The performance aspect shouldn't really change no matter what Curve model you choose. They are all RIM devices, and are usually flawless, imo.

I would assume the 8330 is a better phone. More features, and a army of people whom follow you around asking "Can you hear me now?"

Good luck.

8320 - 64mb memory, no video recording, 4gb max external media card support no streaming video, WiFi no GPS, GSM, and UMA (VoIP)
8330 - 96mb memory, video recording, 8gb max external media card support, streaming video, no WiFi, GPS, CDMA

unlocking a CDMA device is near impossible and your 8330 wont work overseas in most places. there is no SIM card, so you would have to purchase a local SIM overseas, this means no UMA (VoIP) so you would be charged minutes. You need a Tmo branded phone and Tmo plan, or Orange branded phone and an Orange plan, or Rogers/Fido branded phone and a Rogers/Fido plan (all these plans must have the unlimited VoIP calls) for you to be able to get the free international calling via WiFi. Simply having the device wont allow this
