Hi guys,

been a reader for ages and solved most my problems without need of posting. Decided to join cause facing an apparently odd issue.

Upgraded to 4.5.0.46 earlier today (was on .44 before) and given the fact that i was still experiencing the HTML images issue I deleted and recreated my hotmail account (as suggested somewhere in the forum, also did send service books and battery pull before and after deleting the account).

The trick seemed to work, although tested only jpg. Yet the problem is that now I cannot send from my hotmail account yet I receive emails with no problems.

I can only send to my personal accounts (i.e. those saved on my BIS profile, gmail, blackberry.net, etc not very useful as you can imagine)

Weird.

Already tried to recreate the account several times, and did the usual service book and battery pull stuff. No luck.

Ironic that having an Hotmail account since 2000, my hotmail account always worked with BB and stopped when they upgraded to BIS 2.5.

**Update.

the problems is only related to email saved in the address book. If I delete the email from the contact and type it in the new email, I can send to that address. If the email is present in the address book, I get a "message included an invalid address".
Very very odd.

Tried to delete and restore all contacts, but no luck.

Will have to revert to .44 (which by the way also avoided the T-mobile My Favorites duplication)

Man I am having the same freaking problem, did you by any chance try this method before the BIS 2.5 update?

I noticed when I sent an email to my work address typed in and not from my address

book (but i get that email on my phone), it said it was sent from:

myphonenumber@messaging sprintpcs com

weird. I then tested sending to a yahoo account (which I also get on my phone) and it

said it was sent from my hotmail address like it should. WEIRD maybe it has

something to do with pop/imap settings? I tried the method in the link above before

BIS 2.5 i will go back in undo what I did and see if that works. Guess I will just have

to delete some email address from my address book.

Tried this after the 2.5 updgrade.

I solved the problem re-flashing the software without backing up anything (battery pulls and delete/resend service book didn't work).

pretty annoying for my BB messenger account and wifi networks, but it worked.

I now updated to .52 and no problems whatsoever (did backup). Maybe was just .46

Is there any particular reason why the "Audio Boost" option would be missing in every single beta since 4.5.0.37 on my 8100? It was there on 4.5.0.9,4.5.0.10,4.5.0.17 too. But, I can not figure out why the option is gone? The audio is quiet and worthless as far as I'm concerned. Is this an 8100 only problem or me specifically?

Has anyone figured out a proper fix for Hotmail on the Blackberry? I followed all the steps here and in other threads (deleting accounts, reinstalling them, resending service books, deleting contacts from the DM backup, restoring contacts, etc) and none of them work for me.

Blackberry support states to log into your Hotmail account and complete a "CAPTCHA image". I contacted Hotmail as I could not locate a place to do that and they said they don't use them... they use a HIP (Human Interactive Proof) challenge that is only occasionally sent to you.

They did mention that I can contact them to remove this feature (which I did and am awaiting a response) but it is not definate they would do it.

I am not interested in updating OS yet as I am with T-Mobile and will wait for the tested version, so I am still on 4.2.2.180.
