When I take a picture the screen goes whit and the hour glass rotates for afew seconds then nothing. When i go to media and view my pictures they open and the screen goes white with a small red "x" in the upper left corner. Any ideas????

1.) do you have a media card?
2.) confirm what phone our using... (pearl?)

i don not have a card. the phone is brand new and it is the 8110 pearl

Have you tried removing the battery to reboot the device?

If that doesn't work, I recommend upgrading the OS to the latest here on the forum. You can find it in the sticky threads in the 8100 forum.
