I've spent the last few hours trying to get my imac to get a dial tone via bluetooth with my Pearl to send a fax. I've downloaded the script and done all the set up work for T-mobile but I can't seem to make it work.

However, I realize that perhaps what I'm trying to do is different? I do not need the Pearl to act as an internet connection. I'm looking for a dial tone in the Apple modem so that I can send a fax via Apple Fax.

Is this even possible? If so can someone please direct me to the right location on how to set this up? If not, can someone please let me know so I can stop spinning my wheels?

I can connect via bluetooth to my Pearl and I have downloaded Grant's BlackBerry 8100 script and followed the directions on AskDave. No luck.

Well, I've got 50+ hits but no replies so I'll post what I've found out so far in case it can help someone in the future:

From Apple - shows you how to set up a bluetooth modem for faxing from your cell phone. It is not, however, supported by apple techs.

Even after following these steps, I can not use my BB8100 as a fax modem. Getting errors (fax protcol) that I'm trying to fix now.

You can use a fax to email service to fax or Repligo to fax right from your BB
