Exclamation Only keeping a few hours worth of messages

Please Login to Remove!

My 8700 has suddenly started dropping any messages that are over a few hours old. I have checked through the posts here, and everything points to low memory status. I checked mine, and I have just over 29MB in the File Free arena.

I also went through the posts that advised all of the things that I could reduce and/or delete. Most of the items on my BB were already set to the low setting, already had been deleted, and/or were deleted by me freeing up an additional 2MB.

Is there anything else that I can do to keep this from continuing.

Thanks!

Lori

Are you sure you have 29mb free? That sounds awfully high for an 8700.
Maybe you only have 2.9mb free.
What's the exact number next to File Free?

Are you using a BIS service? If so, check that your BIS settings are not set to automatically reconcile with the mailbox. If they are, every time you check your email from your mail computer, it will remove it from your BB.

Default Me, too.

If I keep deleting things, I will wipe out everything.

Is this happening for 1 or multiple email account(s)? SMS messages also fall victim?
