Default Downloading new themes

Please Login to Remove!

I am relatively new Blackberry user (8330) and have not yet attempted to download any additional themes - other than what was already on my phone.

Do additional applications you download (such as Viigo or Wall Street Journal) automatically move over to a new theme or will these be lost when you set up the new theme and you have to download again.

Thanks

All applications will conform to the theme that you're using. However, if you layout your icons or hide any icons in one theme, when you switch themes, all that layout will be reset for that theme and you will have to lay them out or hide them again.

Once you set an icon layout in a theme and switch themes the icon layout remains the same.

Applications installed on your BlackBerry will remain when switch themes.

Steve, I have layd out icons on my screen in one theme and when I install and switch to another theme, I had to go back and rearrange those icons and hide ones I hid.

I haven't switched themes in about 3 months so maybe that has changed.

Nope, it still happens.
Switch themes and the layout disappears.
Tht layout is specfic to that theme.

I switch themes pretty often (although I typically revert back to the Dimension L) and the layout with my Dimension L never changes from what I set it. Any new themes I startup for the first time reset the layout (for that one theme) but once you have a layout set for 2 difference themes the themes keep the layout you set, even when you switch between the two.

That is what I have, has that changed on the 9000?

No, I know that once you set it for a theme then it stay that way when you switch back to that theme. I was refering to switching from the layout of your current theme to a new one. That's what I was refering to when I said they icon layout would change. I know going back to a theme that you were using before will preserve your icon layout (thank God).
