Welcome to the forums!

Do you see an icon that is called "Manage Internet EMail" on the display?

Unfortunately it is not on there.... I usually am very good at figuring these things out.... but I have hit a wall.... the only option I can find is in the initial Setup Wizard.... I did go to blackberry.com and updated the phone from 4.2 to 4.5 hoping that would fix it...not so much!

From the home screen-hit your menu key. You should see a small menu that includes an option called "show all". Select this option-it will reveal any icons that may have been hidden. The "Manage Internet EMail" icon may surface.

You need a Blackberry Data Plan to get the BIS setup option. That's where you'll set up personal/non-corporate email accounts.
