Cool Unlocking Storm for T-mobile UK

Please Login to Remove!

Am thinking of getting rid of personal iphone 3g (unlocked for T-mobile) and getting a Storm as like my work Blackberry.

I understand that it can be unlocked, but will it still support all features; email, sms, mms, gps, internet with 3g working?

Also, will i be able to download updates to the software, along with the Blackberry apps store etc.

Any advise would be helpful.

Cheers

Lee

The Storm will work properly if you subscribe to a BlackBerry data plan from T-Mobile UK. It should be close to the same cost as your iPhone plan from O2.

I am on the T-Mobile US network, running an unlocked 9530. I have everything except the US 3G, however, the US Edge network is pretty close in speed. This is my first Blackberry, and I think I'm hooked for life. Once I got on the network, I contacted T-Mobile Customer Service, asked for the Unsupported Device department, and they shot *.exe files that got me running on everything. No issues with e-mail, texting, MMS, or Browser.

It is worth it...plus it isn't an IPhone.

No, you need blackberry internet service (BIS) if you want to use email.... T-Mobile quoted me £12.50 for BIS and Web'n'Walk or £7.50 for just BIS and no Web'n'Walk.

How did you get on with using the Storm on T-Mobile?
