Just got the BB 8900 and still trying things out. One thing i'm not certain about. When I dial any number I get a quick window saying "Call forwarding - Conditional". Have I got something set up incorrectly or is this normal.

Not normal at all. It's a setting in Phone, check the options in that application.

Yes check the call forwarding options for call log.
Else your provider can also disable conditional call forwarding if not supported by the handset.

I beleive it really depends on your carrier. I have this message, and it is normal, in the case of my carrier.

It is because my inbound calls get forwarded to my voice mail if "no answer" or "not reachable".

I may appear strange that the message is displayed in the case of an outbound call... but I've always had this message,

If you have set calls to forward to voicemail, then it will also come up with this message, as a "note" to remind you that incomming calls will be forward to what you have set it to.
(this is usually set to voicemail)

It depends on the carrier, Here in the Dominican repiblic, all gsm phones says that when starting a call...its completely normal.
