Default No synchronization after Exchange Server restart

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everybody,

1x Bes 5.0
1x Exchange Server

Our Exchange Server reboots once a week(planned), after the reboot we need to reboot de BES server too in order to get the synchronization going.

Does anybody know another way? Does anybody know which of the BlackBerry services we have to restart instead of a total reboot of the BES server?

Thanks,
Marcel

Pretty normal behaviour. MAPI does not always resume communication when interrupted.

May I ask why you reboot Exchange weekly?

Check KB13718 for information on service start/stop order.

Thank you for the link to KB13718. That was what I wanted to know.

@CanuckBB: the reason for weekly restart is performance issues. That is what they tell me here, it has been like this for more than 3 years and nobody knows exactly. Something to look into.

Thanks guys.

Sorry to thread fork... but I was curious about the weekly restart also. We reboot Exchange 07 maybe once a month if that and that's due to the regular MS updates requiring a reboot.
