Hello - I have a Storm that I got right when it came out in London from Vodafone, I now live in New York and want to unlock it to use on Verizon - Is this possible? any help would be appreciated

Nope. the Storm 9500 is GSM only.
Verizon is a CDMA network.

Whilst it is true that you cannot unlock and use it with Verizon as they are CDMA, you can unlock and use the phone with one of the US carriers that use GSM. AT&T and T-Mobile are the national carriers that use GSM and there might be some regional carriers in your area that also use it.
