I'm new here so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong forum. I backed up my calendar and contacts from my old Blackberry 7260(?) on to my laptop in a .ipd file. I've just got a new BB 7290 on BB Enterprise server (wireless Enterprise synching) and the device when connected with my laptop will not recognize the .ipd file. We use Novell Groupwise, so I tried to import the contacts from the .ipd file into Groupwise, but Groupwise won't recognize the file either.
So my questions are:
1. Is there a conversion to get the .ipd into straight comma delimited data so I can import it into Groupwise that way?
2. Is there something I'm missing to have the new 7290 (running v4.02) recognize the back-up data written by the old device?
My contacts are vital, I REALLY don't want to have to re-enter every single one of over 1,000 contacts.
OK, I've loaded up the BB desktop and manually transferred the back-up files to the new 7290. Now when I try to synch with Groupwise the contacts don't seem to go across to Groupwise. Also I'm now not able to send messages from the BB!!
