Anyone on a BES have BB Bold's that get a Red X when trying to send an email.
Lately users are having to go to Manage connections and uncheck the Verizon network and then check it back on to restore service or pull the battery to reset.
We recently upgraded abour 40 phones from BB 8330 Curve's to the BB Bold phone. Seems like every other day they are not connected?!

Any known problem or fix?

This seems to be happening to quite a bit of CDMA devices.

There have been a few posts that I have seen on it.

Pull the battery for now and escalate to RIM via your carrier/verizon rep.

I am having the same issue. I was able to send emails on my old blackberry but not on this one. Pulled the battery. Nothing happened. Any suggestions?

verify UPPER case letters in the signal meter. if they are lower case then yes shut off the radio and turn it back on. Also I know you said you just updated them but use the *228 opt 2 as well might give you more of a permanent fix

Fixed. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app. that runs email. Everything works fine now.
