My Blackberry Tour used to have all my Contacts and Calendar entries synced from my Outlook. Somewhere along the line something got goofed up and I erased all my contacts (since the Blackberry Restore) didn't work. I connected to my computer and set the Desktop Manager to transfer one-way from Outlook to Device...for both the Calendar and Contacts.
When I sync, the Calendar will refresh, but the contacts still are at zero...In fact, there's still the 3 test entries that I entered on the BB that I could use to verify after the fact.
I even tried to sync just the Contacts and NOTHING!
Sorry for the delay, yes those are general enough to work on a wired sync.

One issue can still be the options set for the wired sync. Outlook should allow you to copy all the contacts to the BB. Make doubly sure you have not missed any of the setup or have something selected in Outlook to mark the contacts private. I have included two more RIM support references to read.
Now the calendar gives me the same error. So, in Outlook, I deleted all the calendar, created a new one and synced w/0 entries and no problem. 1 entry no problem...so I entered a few more (6) and the problem is back.
