What do you mean "App World support"?

You can access BB App World if you have a BB data plan and are in a location where it is allowed. The US is one of the countries where it is allowed.

So If I have the 8530 and Verizon Wireless, I would pay 30 dollars for my data plan and that is it? I would have access to the appworld?

A Blackberry data plan and yes you would have access. Still have to pay for apps though.

Yes. You need to contact your carrier to activate the BB data plan and cancel the Android data plan.

Yes you will keep your unlimited plan that is 29.99, they don't change the data plan when you switch phones if you are grandfathered in.

I am still in the unlimited plan - grandfathered in I suppose. Shows unlimited on MyVerizon. New subscribers don't have that option - you are correct on that.

Thank you! This answered my question. I just pay the 29.99 i have now and i am grandfathered in. But The data plan doesnt change strictly based off the fact of the operating system! Thank you!

No problem I have had the same unlimited data plan since I bought the Pearl on Verizon five years or so ago. I have gone from Blackberry to Android and plan has never changed, sucks for the new people that have to pay 30 just to get 2GB.

You had best check -- the switch of OS may remove your grandfathering. Read carefully -- the person who gave you the answer that you wanted had switched from one BB to another.

And you need a specific Blackberry data plan. And Verizon will add it anyway if you buy a BB on their network.

See the FAQ for more information.

Verizon does not have Blackberry specific plans like they used, when they made you pay 29.99 for BIS and 44.99 for the BES. Like mine is just the old unlimited for smartphones and then they have the new crappy plans that are overpriced. And that plan has been the same for my Droids and Blackberries. Like my second line my fiance' didn't have a plan when they changed in July so she has the 2GB for 30 bucks. Rip off
