1. Is this a new phenomena?
2. Check your own email address, both in the BB and with your carrier

When I went from a 7105t to the 8100 I discovered that my email address [email address] had changed so it isn't out of the question that yours may have changed @ the carrier. If with TMO, i'm sure you know that you can double check your settings @ my.tmobile. May help?

ah, i've just noticed that i was trying to send the emails from my blackberry with my yahoo account and it wasn't going thru. i just sent one thru my tmo.blackberry.net email and it worked. so i guess if you want to compose a mail thru the messages screen you can't use any of your other email addresses??? you have to go to the webpage that hosts your email to send mail? or can you send email thru your messages screen thru any email address? i hope this makes sense. i'm so confused.

In Options.advanced>message services, you can select your preference

I seem to remember on my 7105t you had a Send Using option? I can't find it on the 8100

I have 4 different email accounts set up. I can go to any of those icons and compose email and they go out under that particular account. Maybe your Yahoo is not properly configured? If you use the generic messages icon to email it will show the "send using" line as "default". You can change that to any of your email accounts by highlighting it and hitting the track ball.

Anyone know how to tell what the "default" email account is in this situation and how to change the default?

I was having the problem the original poster had all last weekend. It was very annoying to have to keep hitting resend until it would go through.

I would be interested to know what is causing the "invalid address" problem. I have been using this configuration for months without a problem. Changing the email address I'm sending from (as others have been suggesting) does not address the issue.

Maybe we can stay "on topic" for a change?

Just wanted to follow up on this. I noticed that of my 2 yahoo accounts only one was giving that Invalid Address error. I went onto T-Mobile's site and deleted that account and re-created it using all lower case letters on the email and that worked. (I previously had some caps in there.)

I hope this helps.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I'm having the exact same problem. I haven't been able to figure it out.

Run diagnostics, think it does some email checks. Might help

options \ status \ menu key \ diagnostics

I had to upgrade to yahoo plus. Paid 19.99 for 1 year. Took just a few min and I was able to begin sending emails using my yahoo account.
