Default Wierd Keyboard lock functionality?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it just me or is anyone else having this issue. when keyboard lock is on, your meant to be able to unlock it with a roll of the ball to bring up the Unlock/Emergency Call/Cancel menu. (As i could do with my 8700) however when i highlight 'unlock' and hit the button it just stays locked??? Also the underlined letters indicate that hitting U or C keys will be a shortcut, again this doesnt work either???

any clues welcome. also wondering where i can go to get the latest firmware (.61 currently and im with vodafone australia) as this seems a right mystery to me

I have the same problem. I upgraded to .69 and noticed it stopped unlocking with the trackball. However I am using a different theme than the standard zen theme that Orange sets as it's default. I think it might be the OS rather than the theme though.

Yeah! Lets hope they keep the new coach long enough to make a difference. The new stadium rocks.

Yes, this is a known issue with the Pearl OS's. Jibi posted on this forum a while back for us to send emails to RIM to have this issue fixed.

Here is the post:
