Default Well I got my 2GB SanDisk and now my Pearl Wont turn on?!?!

Please Login to Remove!

MicroSD came in the mail. I had no trouble getting it in.

Then, when I put the battery back in the Red indicator flashes, the screen flashes white and then nothing, 5 seconds later, the screen flashes white again and then goes black.

It does this over and over with the red indicator light flashing.

I changed the media card settings to allow connection. Is there something im missing? Should I just let it do its thing or is my 2GB busted?

Thanks guys!

Does the phone work without the media card in it? If so try formatting it using your comp. Maybe there is something on there that the Pearl is trying to read.

Yea, it works without it. Its really werid. My Harddrive litteraly shattered at home lastnight and is on its way to HP to be fixed. Its odd because it self destructed right after I tried to download the latest OS.

I just told it not to automatically recognize the SD and its still doing it.

Great.

I had the same problem so I called T-mobile and they told me that the pearl only takes up to one gig. I know, "bummer".

What is still recognizing the SD card? The Pearl?

Upgrade the handheld software to the latest version on T-Mobile's BlackBerry Upgrade website and your 1 gb limitation will be raised to 2gb.

And remember to perform a backup before upgrading, because you never know when somthing will go wrong...

Default just down load and update

Mine did the same thing. I have t-mobile and when I put my sd card in it did exactly the same as yours. go to t-mobiles web site and up date your drivers on your computer first then back up your phone files. after that down load the BB 8100 phone driver and load it to the BB. after it updates then put your sd card back in. it should work fine

I had the same problem with my tmobile pearl, I got a 2g and then they tell me that I can't use anything larger than a 1g. If you install any OS higher than .64 it will accept the 2g card. Do WORk!!

Sandisk 2GB works fine on my Pearl. Just ensure your Pearl's OS is newer than .42

So ... just to clarify: if I have the .64 OS, it should take 2Gb cards no problem, right?
