Using Blackberry Maps on the 8800, it tracks you to the street level as you travel, as well as display the speed and direction. Basically your arrow on the map moves as you do.

Using Telenav, I have not been able to obtain this functionality. I can set a destination and then it will track as I go, giving me turn by turn directions, and I can see a map of my current location, but given my location, is there any way to just display the map and track my progress and location as I drive without setting a destination?

Not possible in v4.7
