So I have that nice ole Decryption Error that most 7520 people have. So I called nextel to get the dbclean tool, i went right to a 2nd level blackberry tech, the girl was gonna patch me up up but when I mentioned dbclean she said "decryption error" and i said "wow you guys must get a LOT of people calling about that" now i hadnt even mentioned the error just dbclean. So she said that its a problem with 4.0 and i said "maybe I should have stuck with 3.5" and she said "you can use 3.6" so i said "so maybe i should just try 3.6 instead of waiting on hold" she said "yeah thats your best bet"

so im about to try 3.6 and see if that solves my problem. if so, i'll report back to you all.

Yup, that did the trick. I just uninstalled 4.0 and installed 3.6 and redid my encryption key (i also deleted my 2 service books for web clients before i did encryption keys) and that did the trick.

So if you have problems, give that a shot.

Your version 4 Software - Is it off the CD?
If so, download and try the latest version 4 Software

all you should have to do is generate a new key...

Not all transaction errors can be corrected by generating a new encryption but it's definately a good place to start!

this is solved in desktop software 4.0 SP1 (4.0.1.x)
