Question 3rd party PIM ware ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

I switched to BOLD from PPC. I used to have wonderful PIM with PPC like AgendaOne/Pocket Informant (but it crashed a lot !! The OS sucks !). After I synced my calendar events to BOLD, I found the BB PIM is sort of primitive.

Any advice of 3rd party PIM for BOLD from all the experienced users here ??? Any suggestion is welcome . (BTW, BB calendar should be better I supposed. At least the month view display should be way better with the HVGA res!)

Cheers,
Mavie

There really is not another good PIM application. You will find the BB PIM apps sync perfectly with Outlook.

You could try PocketDay for additional calendar features.

Pocket Informant is now available for the Blackberry. I use it, and I love it.

I need to check it out, I haven't used it.

What makes it better than Outlook?

There is (was?) a public preview available that I downloaded. Its a limited version that only allows a certain amount of contacts, tasks, and calendar entries. I will see if I can dig up a link.

Its a PIM replacement on the blackberry, not your desktop. So it would not be replacing outlook. What I like about pocketinformant.........

1. A very good weekview of your calendar. The default weekview on the BB is kind of useless.
2. grouping of tasks by category. I dont think you can do this with the default task app (you can filter by category though)
3. Almost everything is fully customizable. The list of options is to long to be listed here

But you can't sync it to anything on your PC?

Interesting. I'll have to look at this as well.

Can someone that's used it provide some feedback? I went to the website and it says that the version for BB is not available...?

EDIT: Nevermind...I see that it's not a Desktop sync product. Bummer.

The program syncs with the databases on the BB that sync with outlook. The program uses its own database to store tasks and calendar entries.
