Default "Wipe Handheld" what will I lose??

Please Login to Remove!

I have a used Curve 8320. Same carrier, no issues.
I wanna wipe it though. In View Folders I see AIM/ICQ/Win message folders that aren't mine.

I've only installed Google Maps and ESPN mobile icons and links.

Will I lose those and address book entries?

I'm not sure what you want but a wipe will remove everything not backed up on a PC.

After a wipe your applications will still be installed, but configuration settings will be lost. You will also lose all user data (messages, contacts, calendar, etc). I recommend that your use Desktop Manager to make a backup of your device before the wipe.

You device will be like it was removed from the box when it was new.

^ except the 3rd party apps will remain... you can get ride of those by doing a "reset to factory" with JL_Cmder

I learn something everyday. I guess I never knew as I never installed any 3rd party apps.

Is there any other way to delete unwanted/unused folders in the VIEW FOLDER page?

Later versions of the OS's (like 4.5) have an option to wipe 3rd party applications too.

A "normal" backup (via Desktop Manager) only backs up customer data, it does not back up applications that were loaded over the air. There is an excellent thread on the boards on how to back up EVERYTHING, including applications installed OTA.
