I loaded a Sandisk 8 gb card in my 8330 OS 4.3. It did a quick security check - 5-10 sec - and did not prompt me to format. BB recognizes 7.4 gb card. Everything normal.

My philosophy on upgrading OS: If BB and all apps working properly, I don't do it. Only upgrade if problem occurs or required to do so for new app.

FYI. purchased 8 gb card from Amazon reseller (Digital Media Source) for $11.98. Works perfect.

I received a new microSDHC card reader today and tried to format the cards on my computer. No luck. The computer does not recognize the Transcend card at all. It recognizes the SanDisk card, but says that it only has a capacity of 30 MB. It tries to format the card with FAT, but the format operation always fails. I have to conclude that both cards are bad.
