Just stopped at the local T-Mobile store tonight and asked about thier new plans and what not. Then I asked about the BlackBerry and the woman told me that she would not sell me a BlackBerry this week. She told me that the 9700 will be release on the 16th. I then asked her if I could put a down payment. She said no but she will place one on hold for me. I just hope this information is correct.

I wouldn't hold my breath for one to be waiting for you when you go back to the store.

I can't wait either!!!

Day off for me because it is a bank holiday

I stopped by an AT&T store this morning to inquire about the 9700. The rep looked in her system and said no word on a release date yet.

I also stopped in a T-Mobile store. According to the rep, expected release date is 11/17. They did have a dummy unit. Dam, the hardware is killer. Great feel and build quality. The keyboard is a bit cramped. I am sure it takes time to get used to it (I hope!).

Keyboard does seem like it is but I like the fact the keys have angles on them so you can feel the difference of one key to the other. It is about the same size as my Dash as far as keyboards go.

The rep handed me the display phone. Of course it was the one without all the true guts.

Wirelessly posted

I was told the same at T-Mobile store next to my home. They said not one second before the 16th.I will go anyway the Saturday before, it worked for me for my 8320.

However if anyone knows any T-mobile place selling them before in the New York City area please post it here.

Smile I got mine.

I ordered the T-Mobile 9700 on 11-10. It was delivered on 11-12. It is as good as the reviews. The only problem I encounterd was figuring how to open the battery door.
