Default Enhanced Gmail Plugin - Feedback

Please Login to Remove!

I've got a question about the Enhanced Gmail Plug-In for Blackberry relative to using the GMAIL app and/or simply having your Blackberry configured with Gmail IMAP. I don't like the GMAIL app because it isn't native to the phone, and the sync feature with Gmail IMAP doesn't work reliably for me and you can't report spam, add stars, Google search your email, multiple accounts, etc.

Has anyone used the Enhanced Plug-In for Gmail? What are the drawbacks if any?

Thanks!

The Plugin will allow you to Report Spam, Add Stars, Access labels, and search you Gmail mail (not sure on the how good it is since I don't search that much)

Sometimes the Labels don't sync instantly.

Sounds like you need a BES or something better then normal BIS.

My issue so far is that with my Tour and when I had OS 5 on it. I have several gmail accounts and my email would actually get mixed up and would be in the wrong email account. Opening up the email in one account and it would show as being in a different account.

I don't think it is where it should be yet.

I also had the plug-in lock-up the messaging app on my device when composing or replying to messages. I stopped using it.

I had it on my curve and have it on my 9700. I've never had any issues with it. I never used the Gmail app, and have just used the standard mailbox. My biggest complaint was not being able to archive, now I can, so I don't have to log into Gmail and go through and archive what i meant to. I havent had any issues with lag, freezing etc.
