Just bought one of these and it is a fine accessory. My question /fear is that would it damage the battery with constant charging ? As one has been told it is not recommended to leave a rechargeable battery powered device to the mains all the time the batteries get damaged ? Any ideas/suggestions ?

I've used the charging pods for years on several different models and never had battery problems of any kind. I think that recommendation not to constantly charge comes from the old days of NiCad batteries. We're way beyond that now.

I'd have to agree with rambo on this one. I've always left my phone on the charger when on the computer for work, and also when I'm at home after hours. Not once have I ever experienced a battery issue with any of them. Even now with my bold 9650, I leave it on a charging mat (BlackBerry Bold 9650 accessories) almost constantly because of it's ease of use. But enough of my life story; you should be fine.

It's time you went to Battery University! Read through this site (or at least the section on lithium ion batteries) and it will allay all your fears.
