Exclamation How do I disable the password lock?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I have a BB 8350 curve with Verizon. I was tinkering around and set a password onto the device. Now, I can't disable the option for the password and it's annoying to have it set every hour. How do I permanently disable this function even though I've tried but it won't let me,

Thanks.

Default Reset the OS

The best way to do this is to wipe to Factory Settings and reload the OS

Did you also enable content protection?
If you have that turned on with encryption set to your password, then you won't be able to disable the password requirement until you disable content protection first.

Options>security options>general settings>content protection>disabled

If there is a small red padlock symbol next to where it says the password is enabled in the security settings, that means your media card is encrypted. You'll have to go to options>media card and set "encrypt media files" to "no" before you can get rid of your password.
