Why does my bb messages to and from my phone show up in my email< is there a setting that needs to be changed and if so where do I change this?

It shouldn't be showing up in your "email". But it might be showing up in your Messages application. Note that the Messages folder is the default for all messages unless you change it.

In BBM, press Menu, select Options and uncheck the box next to "Show Chats in Messages Application".
