HELP! On Thursday I did not receive an email from a client on a timely basis.

I showed up for a 3:00 pm meeting, only to be told it was cancelled by an email sent at 1:29 pm. When I did receive that email on my BB, it was after 6:00 pm, but my Outlook account received it at 1:29 pm.

Other emails are also delayed.

Please advise.

If your email provider does not support the IMAP IDLE command, or was having server issues at that time, it would account for the delay. My primary email account is an Apple .Mac account and yesterday I experienced delays as well. Normally it's instantly pushed to my BB. Definitely a carrier issue.

You can try resending your service books, and in extreme cases where the connection doesn't revert to the instant push you're used to you can delete the email account from your BB and re-add the account.
