I've had a handful of 9930/9850 users (all with Verizon 7.1.0.163) report that their phone icon disappears and it cannot make nor receive calls via any method. Almost like the phone functions have been disabled.

It occurs after a week or so of use. Battery pulls don't fix the issue, it requires a full wipe of the device.

I've seen a couple of mentions of this issue on the Verizon forums dating back to march, and seem to be associated with 7.1.0.163 being released.

Anyone else seen this?

ps. I have seen the callwaiting bug KB for 7.1.0163 but that doesn't quite match this issue.

Just to update this old post incase someone finds it.
This issue was fixed in version 7.1.0.1737, for both 9930 and 9850
