Question unlocked 8525 + tmobile + bbconnect

Please Login to Remove!

my 8525 should be here tomorrow and i will be attempting this. i love my pearl and 8700c(work) but i love the form factor, keyboard, and wifi of the 8525, so why not.

has anyone had success with this?

i have been reading all over and have downloaded the required software.

so far i cant install Activesync2.1.1.9 as the xda link that i installed looks for an install on an E drive, and thats my external that is hardly ever connect to my laptop...

has anyone used the new active sync>?

Just install the latest ActiveSync version from the Microsoft website. The one you listed looks like a very old version. If you have the Blackberry plan on your T-Mobile account you just need the Blackberry Connect software for the phone. If you get the .cab file for it you can load it right from the storage card on the phone (or even internal memory). If you have the .exe (desktop version) you will have to load it through ActiveSync. It works the same either way.

After it is installed on the device it almost sets itself up. You will just have to send service books (from the MyT-Mobile site) to your 8525.
