As a mac user, how do I upload new software to my 8700g? I currently use missing sync. Is my only recourse loading parallels and then windows, so I can use the desktop manager?

That's what I did, however the USB connection to the 8700 (and other devices I've noticed) is intermittent with parallels. I think that caused me some problems when upgrading to 4.2. If I could start over, I'd use a PC to upgrade (that's caving in, I know, but windows is sometimes the path of least resistance when you don't have hours burn). Parallels works nice otherwise.
