I am new to BB and have the 7100g with Cingular service. I really love the phone and its features. I downloaded some screensavers OTA, but do not know where they are and also need to know how to activate the screensaver.

Go to 'pictures' press the nav wheel on a pic to bring up the menu and select to set as background.

If you downloaded and installed OTA version, then usaully the configuration is found in Options | Screensaver from the main screen of the phone.

for some reason i don't have that option i have the 7100r

Just found out that the screensaver is not an option for the 7100 series. I do know how to set a picture as the background. However, I wanted to know how to acitvate screensavers. I am hoping that a newer version of the software will have this feature.

Its built in, but not functional, to my knowledge. A lot of the early (and maybe current) user guides for the 7100 mentions the screensaver functionality. there are 3rd party applications that do this, i believe.
