hello, I have a pearl 8130 and was running into a problem with bb messenger so I deleted it from the phone. i found that alltel doesnt have the device software up for the 8130 yet for me to reinstall. I have tried the bb download site, but it says that my device is unsupported. Is there any way to get it back without the alltel software?

There isn't. Devices with OS v4.2 and higher have to have it installed via the Desktop Manager. I believe you can use the Verizon version of the OS, right? Since they are the same device, you can use version that is in the sticky thread at the top of teh 8100 forum.

my version is 4.3.0.81 i downloaded verizons all i need to do is install and delete the vendor xml file and install bb messenger correct.

Yeah, unfortunatly, you're in a bind here. Your version is newer than the latest version we have posted. I'm not sure if your version is available from another carrier. The only way to use one of the older versions is to downgrade your OS to one of the earlier versions. I doubt you'll want to do that.

Check throught the CDMA carriers in this list and see if you can find a version that matches yours.

is there any way to pull the stuff from another alltel pearl. I work for them so I have some new in the back. i dont think it is possible, but I dont know. I have called our tech and got pretty high up he is supposed to email me a like to our ftpsite when it is up. I will be more that happy to pass it along since it is the most current version.

No, you'll need the OS installation files. You are better off than most. You actually have some chance of getting that with your connections. Hopefully Alltel gets the file posted soon.
